Hope After Cancer Juliet's story

Meet Juliet

Juliet (she/her) - British

Diagnosed in 2019 - Hodgkins Lymphoma

I can do anything I put my mind to. I can get through any challenge thrown at me. I have everything I need to succeed.

Juliet shares her story of hope after Hodgkins Lymphoma and what has worked for her in moving forward in her life after cancer.

Juliet was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in November 2019. Whilst Juliet found the physical symptoms of treatment tough, one of the biggest impacts of cancer was the mental ‘pause’ she had to take in her life.

When she finished treatment in November 2020, she tried quickly to get back to some kind of normality, but was conscious of 'burying' what she had just been through by keeping ‘too’ busy.

"I know many people haven’t found a guiding passion or purpose in life yet, but cancer teaches you that it’s so important to live the life you truly want, and just go for it, because you do only get one shot. It’s a harsh lesson sometimes, but in a sense we have been gifted that awareness and we can use it to our advantage."
